There are also some parts in my book that contain glimpses of the afterlife. Just glimpses though, not full-fledged "Oh look at this, this is what happens when you die!" type stuff. For example, In one of the scenes in the second book of the series, Julius comes very close to death when he gets caught in a winter storm. When he falls unconscious in a snow bank, he sees his father (who has been dead for many years). However, with all of the strange things like this that happen in the book, I leave them open to interpretation. One could say Julius was just dreaming, or one could say that he was in between life and death and saw something real. I want to make sure that nobody is going to yell at me for saying something that may be against their beliefs...
Another theme in T.P.K. is death. Sweet and simple. I guess my books constantly have death in them, and at the end of the series I think the message is not to fear death, that it comes for everyone, and is more of a blessing than a curse at times. I mean, Artemis cursed himself to live forever so that he would never have to die and possibly find out that Myra was unfaithful to him, and also because he did not want to have to face the verdict for all his sins, however good his intentions were... but the thing was, he regretted it. Nobody should live that long. Things begin to blur, everything blends together until nothing is new ad you grow tired of the world. He tried to commit suicide on multiple occasions, but he couldn't bring himself to follow through with it because he knew that somewhere out there Julius was still alive. The only thing that kept him going through those 600 years was finding Julius, and making things right no matter what the outcome, which he realized was probably his own death.
There are other, more *ahem* pleasant themes in my books as well, such as how in the second book Julius falls in love, and also in the fourth book when the theme of forgiveness is ever-present.
I think; however, that the most important, overall theme of the whole series is the celebration of life.

Themes of The Paper King
My books have a lot different underlying topics in them, although you may have to read between the lines to get some of them, but I think that's what good books are made of! My books can have a lot of silliness in them when it comes to the way a few of my characters interact. Some of the themes are a little mature for some rreaders tastes though, and (sorry!) I'm one of those authors that likes to touch lightly upon the subjects of religion at times. For example, at one point in the first book Artemis starts ranting about the injustices of the witch-trails in Salem, and although this may seem tolerable, he actually starts to point fingers at Christianity in and of itself, which may get on some peoples bad side, but I think that's the point, really: to show people the hard and cruel facts of injustices so that they will strive to change it. I mean, Artemis is a witch, but what most people don't know is that a 'witch' is another name for someone who is a folower of the religion of Wicca. Most people would just say that the witch trials were a bunch of people trying people for being something that doesn't exist. "Witches aren't real" one might say. Really? Then...what is your definition of a "witch"? And what is a witch's definition of a Christian? Had anyone even TRIED to see things from the witches point of view?
This is the type of material that my books will touch upon from time to time. I truly hope that people will be able to take away much more than an engaging plot from my books... I'll talk more about some other scenes later, but for now-- chao!

The Characters of T.P.K.
Here is a neat little list of all the main characters of the first book (in order of most important):
- Julius Pembrooke- King of the province of Veronia, England... Gets cursed into... (*points at book title*)I doubt you'll understand exactly what Artemis does to him just by that, but it's hard to explain. It like this, from the outside it looks as if he's a 3d drawing, but in the indside of the peice of paper there is a tiny extra-dimension, where Julius is trapped. Age: 19
- Allen Collins- An ordinary kid from Virginia who gets more than he bargained for when he opens a dusty old book... Age: 15
- Artemis Valentene- Former friend and backstabber to Julius, a powerful witch... He was a prisoner of war for many years, and was forced away from his true love, Myra. Hails from the kingdom at war with Valencia- the province of Averleigh. Age: 25, however at age 25 he curses himself with immortality, and is now about 600 years old, but still looks 25.
- Tybalt Valencian- Military advisor to Julius, also best friend and Father figure to him as well. Gets cursed into the form of a dog by Artemis. Age: 42
- Emily Collins- Allens little sister, she gets mixed up in the events of the book the same as Allen, but she doesn't really understand what's going on. Age: 6
- Xavier Xzailius- a Knight in the Royal gaurd. Gets cursed into the form of a horse by Artemis. Secretly likes Cloe. Age: 17
- Cloe Demitria- A nurse in the service of the King. Gets cursed into the from of a cat by Artemis. Also shares a striking simalarity to Artemis' true love. Secretly likes Xavier. Age: 15
- Jacob Betrillian- A page for Julius and Tybalt; an orphan. Gets cursed into a doll by Artemis. Age: 6
- Myra Angelus- Artemis' true love; she died a year after Artemis was imprisoned; however, in the long run she was the person who set the books events in motion. Age: 16
- Theodore Pembrooke- Julius' Father, late King of Valencia. He interrogated Artemis for information after he had him secretly imprisoned. He died of tuburculosis a long time ago, but Artemis remains haunted by his memory. Age: 54
- Victoria Pembrooke- Julius little sister, died of the tuburculosis soon after her father. Julius is reminded of her by Emily.
*all the Characters who have been cursed are all about 600 years old, but they do not remember anything that happened in that time, and have not aged since being cursed

Once upon a time…you know how the story goes. Well, in case you’re wondering- this isn’t that story. This story takes place in the here and now. Ancient curses renewed in a world that has forgotten the ways of old. A young king stripped of his power- imprisoned by his own best friend for centuries- until Allen Collins opens a dusty old book…containing a mysterious Latin spell and the remorseful leader of a forgotten kingdom…
I do so hope that has hooked you into it :3 Anyways, a little bit more info here...
The book has a multitude of characters, from young to old (Sorry Tybalt!) and I all love them to death! Also, I like the fact that in my books you never really have a clear antagonist- Like much of Shakespeares work, the characters really do have legit reasons for everything they do, and you can even get behind them all. The way they interract is just amazing sometimes!
I will be posting snippits of the book as I write it here- not all of it though, because of course there are always those that will try to steal it. But be warned- If you do copy what little work I will put on here and put it somewhere claiming it is yours I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND DESTROY YOU. :D I'm such a friendly person aren't I ? Haha... Anyways, I hope will enjoy the bits I do post- and positive feedback is always appreciated!
Let's do This!

In the Beginning...
There was Sarah Webb.
Then she turned into Enoki-chan.
Then she became Autumn Gracy.
Hello and welcome!
When I made this blog I was using it to vent about all the stupid injustices that were going on in my life, but now things are better. I decided to erase all the aforementioned posts and turn this blog into a log of my progress as a writer. You see, I am an aspiring author and I am currently typing up a series of four books (or as I would like to call it-if it were a real word- a "Quadrilogy"). Entitled The Paper King; I hope to make it as popular as the series Eragon, Twilight, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter.
Now, you may be asking yourself who the frick I am. Well, this is a blog, it's only natural O_o
To explain that bit at the top there; My name is Sarah Webb. I used to be rather an outcast many years ago, but when I got to high school I changed. I guess you could say I pretty much pulled a total 180'. I cut my hair short and got new clothes, I started making friends like crazy and I joined the Theater clubs and the art programs. I got really into all sorts of music, anime, and manga (which, for those of you who don't know, are forms of Japanese animation, one in book form). I decided to really put my all into making these books, and I'm pumped up about it more than ever now that I've got all the plots figured out. Now, back to me for a little (sorry!) A few years ago I got the nickname Enoki for myself. It means Chinese nettle tree, in Japanese. The suffix at the end is what one would place at the end of a friends name (also in Japanese) So, please call me Enoki-chan! I also devised a pen name for myself: Autumn Gracy. Autumn because that's what I would've like to be named and also my favorite season; Gracy because I love the song Amazing Grace and also because I loved the story Saving Gracy. For all writing intensive purposes, that is what you can call me. When my books are published, that will be the author name.
I am also hoping to potentially create a small buzz around the Internet before my books come out, so that people can anticipate its coming and hopefully spread the word. Now I'm sure you're saying something along the lines of "Oh c'mon this is BLOGSPOT how're you going to get famous on here!?" Well my friends, ask yourself this-
How were internet fads created? That's right. Through completely random sites that practically nobody visited. Somebody found something they thought was amusing and spread the word- now we have things like the O'rly owl and All Your Base just floating around on the web. All because one single person found it somewhere. My point is, if something is good enough somebody will find it, and it will become known throughout the world. My hopes are that my books will become similarly popular. If you find this intriguing, please follow my blog.
